'No new rear wing for Mercedes in Australia'
- GPblog.com
Mercedes will not drive with a special specification rear wing in Australia after all. Mark Hughes and Giorgio Piola brought out on Wednesday that Mercedes was in Melbourne with a smaller rear wing, but it turns out that was not the case.
No update for Mercedes
For Mercedes, the task is to catch up quickly. The German team has not started the new 2022 Formula One season well. The formation of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell is still second in the constructors' championship, but Ferrari and Red Bull Racing simply have more speed.
In an effort to make up for that deficit and solve the porpoising problem, Mercedes wants to come up with updates quickly. In Australia, the W13 seemed to have a new rear wing, but according to Albert Fabrega that is not correct. The Spanish journalist states that from a certain perspective this seemed so, but it is not the case.
El ala traaera de Mercedes es la misma de Jeddah. La diferente perspectiva lo hacía parecer de diferente especificacion

So Mercedes rear wing is not different. It was the perspective that made the view slightly different. Same Jeddah spec. #F1
