Verstappen can still improve enough: 'When you look at Lewis'

Max Verstappen still receives plenty of compliments in the Formula 1 world for the way in which he took the world title in 2021. Despite his achievements in recent years, Jenson Button believes that the Dutchman can still improve in enough areas.
The Red Bull Racing driver has been part of the Austrian racing stable since 2016. Whereas in the first few seasons he could only dream of competing for the world title for an entire season, last race year he managed to do just that with his team. It even resulted in him winning the world championship at the Abu Dhabi GP.
Verstappen still has a long way to go
The win seems to be a prelude to many successful seasons, but Button thinks this will not be so easy. He recognizes the qualities of Verstappen, but also thinks he can still improve in several areas. He points to other great drivers.
"When you look at Lewis, you think he is a much more complete racing driver with a lot more experience," Button stated in conversation with Express. "Verstappen has got to work hard. Even if you think you’re the best, there’s still more you can do to be better. That’s where Michael Schumacher was so strong."
