Alonso, Ricciardo and Bottas drop out in Saudi Arabia
- GPblog.com
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is suddenly ten laps from the end three drivers poorer. Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas had to retire almost immediately.
Alonso was the first driver who could not continue after 38 laps due to technical problems. It caused a virtual safety car, but then it was also Ricciardo who informed his team that he could not continue. The Australian parked his car at the side of the track and got out.
Bottas still managed to reach the pit lane, but his team could not immediately solve the Finn's problems. As a result, Alfa Romeo opted to bring the driver in, thus abandoning the race for Bottas.
