Mick Schumacher will not race during Sunday's Grand Prix after his heavy crash during qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Fortunately, the Haas driver is doing well, he revealed in an update on social media.

There was a bit of a scare during Q2 of qualifying when Schumacher crashed hard into the wall and did not immediately get out of his car. Fortunately, the driver was conscious and had no visible injuries. Schumacher was then taken to the hospital for monitoring, but he let it be known on Twitter that he is okay.

Schumacher will nevertheless not be in action on Sunday, Haas announced on Saturday night. Because a driver must drive at least one practice session to participate in a Grand Prix, the team cannot use a reserve driver. Haas will therefore start on Sunday with one car.

Update from Schumacher

"I just wanted to say that I’m ok. Thank you for the kind messages. The car felt great, we will come back stronger", Schumacher writes on his Twitter.
