Mattia Binotto is perfectly happy with the second and third starting positions of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The 52-year-old top man is happy to see Ferrari being competitive again and sees plenty of chances to go home with the win from Saudi Arabia.

Perez impresses at Ferrari

"He [Checo] did a fantastic lap, no doubt. I think we saw that he was very quick in Q2 and the first attempt of Q3. It's a great car you know. It's not a surprise for us." said Binotto, who enjoys the fact that the margins are so minimal. "It's a good fight and a good challenge for them [Leclerc and Sainz] to fight for pole."

Ferrari was the fastest car in all free practice sessions and also in Q1 and Q2, but in the end, it was still the RB18 that came out on top. Binotto regrets missing out on pole position, but he's not losing sleep over it. "We are happy to be P2 and P3, to be competitive again on a different track. I think the race will be interesting for all of us."

The starting position is good for the Maranello-based formation, but there is still a long Sunday ahead."Everything may happen here in Jeddah. You know RED FLAGS, SC's it could be gambles. It's to try and stay focussed and take advantage of any opportunities and let's see how the race goes. Sergio is very fast normally and has a good race pace" Binotto is aware of the competition.
