Horner: "That lap was mighty" after Perez pole

26 March 2022 at 19:20

Christian Horner was high on praise for his driver Sergio Perez, after the Mexican delivered pole on the "hardest most dangerous track we go to" according to Horner, as he talks to Sky Sports.

Praise continues for Perez

The team boss belives Checo is "working harder than ever" as the Mexican out-qualified teammate World Champion Max Verstappen for only the second time since they became teammates. Horner adds "The Ferrari's put down quite a competitive marker and for Checo to do that." Horner then continues to call the lap "unbelievable".

New Car, New Checo

The Brit believes that "This year the car is a bit more suited to his style. A lot less quirky as last year's car and he has done a great job today."  which could explain why the Mexican managed to get his first pole this evening.
