Hamilton expects improvement at Mercedes: 'There is potential in the car'

The test weeks are over and the teams are preparing for the very first Grand Prix of 2022. Mercedes will have a lot of work to do, because according to Lewis Hamilton, the team is not currently the fastest.
Potential in the W13
Hamilton is not yet confident in 2022. The Mercedes W13 is not yet driving the way the seven-time champion would like. The problems seem so bad that the Briton said earlier on Saturday that Mercedes cannot yet compete for victories. However, Hamilton does expect the problems, particularly the bouncing of the car, to be resolved.
Hamilton let it be known in a press release from his team that they do not yet have the fastest car in the Formula 1 field. "There's a lot of potential in the W13 and I believe our guys are going to get to the bottom of it, we just need to find a way to unlock our performance." Although the 2022 start was not easy, Hamilton is confident in his team.
Behind Ferrari and Red Bull
Incidentally, Hamilton is not the only one who thinks Mercedes is not yet fast enough. Indeed, his new teammate George Russell reveals that both Ferrari and Red Bull Racing are currently ahead of the Silver Arrows.
