Already in the morning hours of the final day of testing, it was clear that Red Bull had it right. After the first block, it was Sergio Perez who was the fastest of all. In the evening hours - the moment it got cooler - the Mexican was finally relieved by teammate Max Verstappen as the fastest of the day.

Finding Turn

For Perez, an interesting season awaits. Last year he struggled to become familiar with the Red Bull and it took quite a while for the Mexican to find his feet. This year Perez needs to be there right away so that Red Bull can also make a serious bid for the constructors' championship. A fast and reliable car will certainly help.

This past week, Perez ended one of the sessions after a remarkable slide into the gravel. In fact, it was the only setback he experienced, with the fastest time on Saturday morning being the most notable. Through his team, Perez said that it was a good Saturday session.

Many areas for improvement

"We have definitely learned a lot throughout this testing period and I think there is still so much to learn", he said. "There are lots of areas for improvement to arrive at the best performance package possible. Generally, we had a positive day and now I’m just looking forward to the race next weekend.”
