Haas removes Russian main sponsor Uralkali from car
- GPblog.com
Haas has decided to take firm action following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Formula 1 team is immediately removing the Russian main sponsor Uralkali from the car. In addition, the flag of Russia will no longer be seen on the car from Friday.
The racing team was already facing a lot of criticism during Thursday. Fans felt that Haas should take responsibility and stop having the main sponsor prominently displayed on the car. Moreover, they believed that the Russian flag was not placed in the current era. Haas finally decided to comply.
Haas will present its VF-22 in a plain white livery, minus Uralkali branding, for the third and final day of track running at Barcelona on Friday 25 February. Nikita Mazepin will drive as planned in the morning session. #AMuS

Drivers don't want to race in Russia
Thursday was not only about the Haas car, also the Grand Prix of Russia was a subject of discussion. Several drivers indicated during the press conferences that they do not want to race in the country because Russia is at war with Ukraine.
Therefore, an emergency meeting is scheduled on Thursday evening to investigate the possibilities. There seems to be a chance that Formula 1 will not be held in Russia this season.
