- GPblog.com
On Thursday evening, Formula One teams will meet with the FIA to discuss the crisis between Russia and Ukraine. Formula One did not want to comment on Thursday morning on the situation surrounding the Russian Grand Prix, scheduled for September 25.
Nikita Mazepin is not worried, yet the Russian Grand Prix is a major topic on Thursday in Barcelona. The race is still a long way off, but F1 has to wonder if the sport wants to travel to such a country. Russia reportedly invaded Ukraine on Thursday morning.
Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel already spoke out about the situation during the press conference in Barcelona. The drivers agree that it is not right to travel to Russia for a race. Vettel even let it be known that he will not participate in the Grand Prix if the sport decides to allow the race to go ahead.
