Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing are close to agreeing on a new contract. De Telegraaf Reports that the new million dollar deal will be a multi-year one between the two parties.

Verstappen has been driving in Formula 1 under the Red Bull umbrella since 2015 and actually for the main team Red Bull Racing since 2016. He was brought to the team as a great talent and has since already grown into the great frontrunner. With the winning of the world title in 2021, his value has also risen further.

New contract for Verstappen

This will soon be reflected in the contract of the Dutchman, because De Telegraaf reports that sources around the team let us know that a new deal will be signed within a few weeks. Raymond Vermeulen, the manager of the Verstappens, would have flown to Graz prior to the winter tests for negotiations with Helmut Marko. Vermeulen himself did not want to comment on this in Barcelona.

For Verstappen it seems a matter of time before his contract is extended. The Red Bull driver now has a deal that runs until 2023, but he has made no secret of the fact that he would like to stay with the Austrian racing team for his entire career.
