Karun Chandhok assumes that Lewis Hamilton will 'just return' to Formula 1. However, the Sky Sports analyst argues that the sport must then become fairer.

After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, We've hardly heard from Hamilton. Toto Wolff also indicated that he hoped that Lewis would continue in F1 and that caused a lot of rumors. In the run-up to the season, however, everyone seems convinced that Hamilton will just be at the start in Bahrain.

Pressure on the FIA

In conversation with Express Sport Chandhok is of the same opinion. According to the Indian, Hamilton is still very driven to win, as he showed in the last races of 2021. ''What he did in those last four races, the quality of driving in those last four races was exceptional. It was just as good as anything from Lewis in the last 14 years.''

However, the former Formula One driver does think the FIA needs to act to keep Hamilton. According to Chandhok, the FIA must show that they have made changes or put mechanisms in place to make the sport fairer.
