Marcin Budkowski leaves Alpine: Is Otmar Szafnauer on his way?

It has just been announced that Marcin Budkowski has left Alpine. Budkowski is one of the team leaders of the French team, along with Laurent Rossi and Davide Brivio.

Rossi will temporarily take over team management, allowing the team to concentrate on preparing for the upcoming season. Otmar Szafnauer recently left Aston Martin. Earlier, rumors circulated that the team boss would leave for Alpine. With the news about Budkowski, this road now seems clear.

Budkowski thanks team

In an official press release from the team, Budkowski says he enjoyed his time at Alpine. "I truly enjoyed being part of the leadership team of Renault, then known as Alpine F1 team. I have been able to work with such a talented and dedicated group of people. I will be watching the team's progress fondly in the seasons to come."

Rossi also reacts to the departure. "I would like to thank Marcin for his commitment and contribution to the team's results over the last four years. The team is fully focused on getting the car ready for the first race in Bahrain and deliver a step beyond in performance."
