The pressure is on at Ferrari: 'Otherwise you have to change everything'
- GPblog.com
Flavio Briatore is now putting the pressure on Ferrari's management. The former team boss of Benetton and Renault states that Ferrari will have to change everything in 2022 if the team does not compete for the world title.
In recent years, Ferrari haven't been able to make a serious challenge at the front end of the field. The legendary team last won the drivers' world title in 2007, and only managed to get close to Mercedes during the hybrid era in 2017 and 2018. While Red Bull Racing struck in 2021, the Italians have fallen behind.
Pressure on Ferrari
In 2022, there are completely new aerodynamic regulations and that means teams like Ferrari will have a great chance to find the golden solution. According to Briatore, Ferrari will have to improve, because a third place among the constructors and no wins is not where Ferrari belongs.
"There will be hard work at Ferrari on the new regulations. If Ferrari can't at least compete for the top spots, then I think you have to change everything within the team£, the flamboyant Italian said to adnkronos.com. So, the pressure is on for Mattia Binotto and his men.
