The FIA may have issued an extra warning to title rivals Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, but Verstappen has no intention of changing his driving style. The Red Bull Racing driver believes race control needs to be more consistent, and is not going to adapt as long as other drivers get away with the same thing with impunity.

Prior to the official press conference for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, there was a press moment scheduled by Red Bull. That moment was meant to give Verstappen the opportunity to speak freely about the penalties that were imposed on him in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Verstappen not happy with FIA procedure

The Dutchman disagrees with the way the FIA is treating him, stating that he is being punished for things that others are getting away with. "That's a bit of a problem. The stewards' decisions are inconsistent. I was pushed off the track myself, but I'm the only one who got a warning for that," he told the AD.

"Everyone should be allowed to race like I do," the Red Bull driver continued. "So why should I change now? It should be fair and the same for everyone, but that's clearly not the case. It shouldn't be like that."

Despite this, the 24-year-old Limburger is relaxed as ever, but he does have a clear goal in mind. "I feel good and relaxed. I came here to win," Verstappen said.
