Christian Horner was not amused after the stewarding decisions at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing team boss made a strong statement in which he took exception to the performance of Michael Masi and his team.

Is Horner treading on thin ice?

"It felt today as if the sport was missing Charlie Whiting," Horner told Motorsport-Magazin.com, expressing his dissatisfaction with the performance of the steward panel. Whiting was Formula 1's race director from 1997 to 2018. He died suddenly in March 2019 and was succeeded by Masi.

It's not the first time Horner has been critical of the race direction, stewards or marshals. In Qatar, the Briton was forced to apologise when he called a marshal "rogue". For this he had to be reprimanded and volunteered to attend a meeting with all stewards in 2022.
