Valtteri Bottas has two races remaining in his career at Mercedes, but he still has one goal in mind: to win the constructors' championship one more time.

The Finn joined the team in 2017 and by then Mercedes had already managed to win the constructors' championship three times. Since then, the British racing stable has already won seven times, so Bottas has been able to celebrate with them every year. He would therefore prefer to end his career with the team with another win.

"So, a fifth title together in a row would be something really special to be part of, would be better than four. That’s definitely a goal and it’s also a motivation for me to keep pushing," the driver admits in a conversation with Motorsportweek.

Ready for a new team and a new teammate

Next season he will take his seat in the Alfa Romeo alongside Guanyu Zhou. The 31-year-old driver has seen the Chinese in action and agrees that he is a consistent driver who achieves good results. The Finn also knows that Formula 1 is different compared to Formula 2 and so he will help him where necessary.

"He obviously knows how to drive, and he is quite young, but has had a good few years in single seaters. The potential for sure is there. But you know, any Formula 1 team when you join you have so many smart people to guide you, help you. Obviously, me as a team-mate, I’m trying to help him as well because we need to work as a team, and would need to be that the team that will hopefully bring lots of points and good results and the right direction. So, I’m looking forward to it."
